Event

At the beginning of September 2017 the Ukrainian artists have an idea to collect artistic works for sale and all the money will be donated to the Daryna Kravchenko fund - an architect and designer from Kyiv, Ukraine, and which is now fighting with a recurrence of cancer. Modern health system and the situation in Ukraine does not allow her to easily and seamlessly to overcome this difficult phase of treatment. Therefore, to collect the necessary amount of money, it was decided to organize the sale of art objects, as the closest in spirit to Dasha and her friends activities.

At the moment, this website presents paintings and other creative works, which were kindly donated to a charity sale. Also, these works and many others can be seen at an organized exhibition-auction, where you can look at pictures, sculptures, photos, and much more, and purchase them, thereby supporting the initiative and saving a Daryna's life!

About Dasha

Kravchenko Daryna Olegovna was born in 1990.

In 2015 she graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. She received a diploma of an architect and an artist. From the 3rd year of study she works in her specialty.

She developed the architectural project of the Children's Cancer Center with a Rehabilitation Unit.

At the moment, Dasha studies in post-graduate. The theme of post-graduate is "Principles for the formation of children's treatment and rehabilitation centers in Ukraine."

Diagnosis

The first time Dasha was discovered Lymphoma Hodgkin in 2007, then she had a fourth stage (last). The cancer was all over the lymph system.

The treatment was lengthy with several relapses. Initially, 4 courses of BEACOPP were conducted after which radiation therapy was performed, but a relapse occurred (due to the early cessation of chemotherapy). Further followed by 4 more courses of BEACOPP 2 (with a higher dosage). After these torments, Dasha and her mom went to Moscow for examination and PET diagnostics (positron emission tomography - sees oncology at the cellular level, but in lymph nodes less than 1 cm is not effective). After the PET, a conglomerate (lymph node) was found in the gates of the liver, after which in Moscow doctor E. A. Demina was assigned autologous bone marrow transplantation (autogenous is when the patient is a donor to himself), which was conducted in Ukraine. For the collection of cells, consolidating chemotherapy was prescribed, after which drugs blood counts were raised and cells were taken.

After that, high-dose chemotherapy with autologous BMT (bone marrow transplantation) was performed - this is when the patient is in a sealed box, +/- month, the first seven days of which chemotherapy is introduced (for complete killing of immunity), and the eighth is directly administered cells into the body and the waiting period for the body's acceptance of the introduced material begins. After this procedure, Dasha lost 10 kg of weight in a week and she had all the mucous tissue burned, and this is only a small part of the consequences ...

Because of a weakened organism, Cytomegalavirus pneumonia (herpes in the lungs) was detected (survival at that time of a healthy person was 10%, after transplantation 1-3%). But last time Dasha managed to get out, absolutely all the means and apartments left + the help of only one fund, all the others refused.

And then nine years of remission passed, and Dasha after the diagnostic operation again put the same diagnosis (Hodgkin's lymphoma of nadular sclerosis), with only one big "BUT". Since the disease is secondary, standard chemistry does not suit her - they will not have a long-term result, except for the gradual killing of the organism...

Treatment

Currently, for diagnosis, a CT scan was performed and laparoscopic operation (August 15, 2017) with the help of which a part of the lymph node was taken and given for diagnostics (immunohistology and histology). By the conclusion of which the diagnosis was made - Lymphoma Hodgkin's nadular sclerosis (lymphogranulomotosis).

At the moment, Dasha will be assigned chemotherapy courses to achieve remission (the price of one course from 150 000 UAH, the rate should be at least 8), followed by a BMT (bone marrow transplantation) from the donor. This procedure has a price of €250 000 in clinics in Germany and this without accompanying drugs and further rehabilitation. Only for the search for a donor is required from $5 000. But after all this, a long rehabilitation is needed (from the 1st year).

The average cost of rehabilitation after TCM is equal to the cost of transplantation, that is, about €250 000. In Ukraine, it is forbidden to carry out transplantations from another person and it is also impossible to go through rehabilitation, as the doctors themselves say that they do not have the necessary equipment, medicines, or practice to care for such patients!

She needs a lot of money, but with your help, she can really collect it! We are grateful even for a small amount, because "the drop forms the ocean" !!!
